Welcome to the 2026-2027 School Year!

Hi! My name is Katelyn (Katie) Hayes, and I am the school social worker at both the middle and primary schools. The 26-27 school year will be my third year at Mulvane Middle School and second year at the primary. I earned both my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Social Work from Wichita State University. I feel lucky to support students as they navigate growing up, the challenges of middle school, and life’s ups and downs. I especially value being a listening ear, a source of encouragement, and an advocate for our students.
Outside of school, I am a proud dog mom to my Bernese Mountain Dog, Archie! I enjoy reading a good thriller book, taking walks with Archie, or traveling with my partner!

I look forward to another great school year and being a resource and source of support for our students and families!
